Boys Noize is the alias behind German electronic producer and DJ Alexander Ridha. Born in Hamburg, Ridha moved to Berlin at 21, where he began building his reputation as a prolific producer, ultimately founding his own label, Boysnoize Records, in 2005. He released his first full-length under the Boysnoize brand in 2007 with Oi Oi Oi, one of several albums to follow that reveal a lone music-maker capable of intense, full-throttle techno beats and hazy, pulsating melodies. Though he may not be a household name, Boys Noize is in good company at this year’s festival, having been credited for colorful remixes of several top acts’ tracks, including songs by Depeche Mode, Snoop Dogg and the Kaiser Chiefs.
